About this project
Ovumcy is a self-hosted menstrual cycle tracker designed for privacy-conscious users. Unlike cloud-based trackers, it runs on your own server, keeping sensitive health data under your control. The application is a single Go service with a server-rendered web UI, supporting SQLite by default and PostgreSQL for advanced setups. It can be installed on a phone's home screen and offers features like period logging, symptom tracking, cycle predictions (next period, ovulation, fertile window), calendar and statistics views, and reminders via in-app banners, webhooks, or calendar subscriptions. Data can be exported in CSV or JSON formats. The project emphasizes no telemetry, no ad trackers, and no outbound network calls by default. It supports multiple languages (English, Russian, Spanish, French, German, Italian) and includes optional OIDC sign-in and TOTP two-factor authentication. Deployment is straightforward with Docker or a single binary, and the repository provides a docker-compose file with working defaults. Ovumcy is not a medical product; predictions are statistical estimates based on logged data. The project also offers a local-first mobile client (ovumcy-app) and an optional encrypted sync service (ovumcy-sync-community).
