Eole is a comprehensive theme (skin) for the foobar2000 audio player, designed to enhance the default interface with a modern, visually appealing layout. It integrates multiple panels for library browsing, cover art display, biography viewing, and visualizations, all powered by scripting components like Spider Monkey Panel and Shpeck. Key features include: - **Cover cache**: Automatically caches album covers for faster subsequent displays, with options to preload all covers at startup for quicker library browsing (at the cost of higher memory usage). - **Library browser**: A tree-based panel that can load covers from the cache, enabling smooth navigation without waiting for images to load. - **Visualizations**: Integration with Shpeck and Winamp plugins (e.g., Milkdrop) for audio visual effects, though this component may be unstable and can be disabled if needed. - **Customizable panels**: Most panels have right-click settings menus, and advanced users can edit the underlying JavaScript code (press SHIFT while right-clicking to access configuration). - **Systray icon**: Optional custom icon for the system tray.
