About this project

Omnivore is a comprehensive read-it-later solution that allows users to save articles, PDFs, and newsletters for later consumption. It is now exclusively a self-hosted application. Key capabilities include: - Content Management: Highlighting, note-taking, tagging (labels), and full-text search. - Input Methods: Browser extensions for Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge; email integration for newsletters (including Substack support); and an RSS client with categorization features. - Cross-Platform Access: A Node.js and TypeScript-based web app, native iOS and Android applications, and a Progressive Web App (PWA). - Reading Experience: Full keyboard navigation, automatic progress saving for long articles, and text-to-speech functionality (iOS only). - Integrations: Official plugins for Logseq and Obsidian. - Technical Features: Offline support and a self-hosting deployment guide using Docker Compose.
