TrackMyRupee is a self-hostable personal finance dashboard built with Django that emphasizes privacy and manual control. It does not read SMS or require bank logins, instead letting users record transactions manually or import them in bulk via Excel. The application provides account ledgers, internal transfers, net worth aggregation, recurring transactions, and AI-assisted category suggestions for expense logging. Savings goals include visual progress bars, milestone badges, confetti celebrations, and automatic refunds when a goal is deleted. Budgeting features support category limits, real-time alerts, and variance analysis. Loan management covers EMI calculation, multiple loan types, floating interest rates, amortization schedules, and repayment tracking. Analytics include category and account dashboards, month-over-month comparisons, year-in-review summaries, and automated monthly email reports. The project supports multi-currency conversion and English, Hindi, and Marathi interfaces. It offers data export and one-click account deletion for data sovereignty. Deployment is available through Docker Compose or a manual Django setup with PostgreSQL or SQLite. The frontend uses Bootstrap 5 and Chart.js, while the backend is Python 3 and Django 4.2+. The code is MIT licensed.
