About this project

Nextcloud Notes for Android is an open-source mobile client for the Nextcloud Notes application, licensed under GPL v3. It provides access to notes stored on a Nextcloud server with support for multiple accounts, creating, editing, searching, sharing, and deleting notes. Notes can be marked as favorites and deleted in bulk. The app supports toggling checkboxes directly in view mode and includes in-note search functionality. Key features include Markdown rendering via Markwon, context-based formatting, dark mode, and both single note and note list widgets. It also offers an app-lock feature and is available translated into many languages through Transifex. The app is installable from the Google Play Store or F-Droid, with verified signing certificates provided for APKs from multiple sources. Screenshots are available showcasing the list view, edit mode, and preview interfaces. Requirements: Nextcloud Server with the Nextcloud Notes server app installed, plus the Nextcloud Files Android app for authentication. The project accepts contributions including testing across devices, bug reports, pull requests, and translations.
