About this project
Tianji is an open-source, self-hosted application that unifies three key monitoring capabilities into a single dashboard: website analytics (page views, unique visitors, traffic sources), uptime monitoring with passive result reception, and server status reporting. Built as a lightweight alternative to running multiple specialized tools, it is designed for users who need comprehensive but not overly complex monitoring.
Key features include website analytics similar to GA or Umami, an uptime monitor that accepts passive reporting from deployed reporters, server status integration compatible with Prometheus metrics, problem notifications, telemetry collection for tracking deployment health, UTM parameter tracking, team collaboration support, survey pages, Lighthouse performance reports, hooks for extensibility, and an OpenAPI for integrations.
The application provides a web-based UI with multiple dashboards and is packaged as a Docker Compose stack including a PostgreSQL database. Default access is at http://localhost:12345. Local development requires setting up a .env file with DATABASE_URL pointing to a PostgreSQL instance.
Tianji is released under the Apache 2.0 license. It is inspired by Umami (MIT) and Uptime Kuma (MIT). One-click deployment options are available on Hostinger, Sealos, RepoCloud, Render, and ClawCloud. The project also supports Helm installation and offers translation capabilities including auto-generation via ChatGPT with manual verification in locale files.
