About this project
molex-media-electron is a comprehensive media toolkit that integrates FFmpeg and yt-dlp to provide a wide range of audio and video manipulation tools.
Key capabilities include:
- **Batch Processing**: Supports loudness normalization (ITU-R BS.1770-4), volume adjustment with true-peak limiting, format conversion with 24 presets, media extraction (audio, GIFs, frames, subtitles), and CRF-based compression across multiple encoders (H.264, H.265, VP9, AV1).
- **Media Editor**: A multi-track non-linear editor (NLE) featuring frame-accurate trimming, splitting, and merging. It includes spatial compositing with keyframe animation, 8 blend modes, and a transform inspector for position, scale, and rotation.
- **Media Player**: Supports local file playback and URL streaming from YouTube via yt-dlp. It features a popout player and real-time audio visualizations (e.g., Milkdrop, Plasma) powered by the Web Audio API.
- **System Integration**: Includes an automatic setup wizard for FFmpeg/yt-dlp, a system tray menu, a filterable log viewer, and an auto-updater via GitHub Releases.
