Sysinternals ZoomIt for Mac is a macOS menu-bar utility modeled after the Windows Sysinternals ZoomIt tool. It brings screen zoom, annotation, capture, and recording features to macOS 14 or newer. Core capabilities include static zoom over a frozen ScreenCaptureKit display capture, live zoom of the running screen with click-through interaction when not drawing, and a draw-without-zoom mode for annotating at 1x. Annotation tools cover pen, line, rectangle, ellipse, arrow, highlighter, undo, erase, blank-screen sketch pads, and typing annotations. Colors and shapes are selectable via keyboard shortcuts. A built-in post-recording editor supports preview, trim, append, fades, playback controls, volume mute/slider, and export before saving. A break timer offers a configurable countdown with colors, opacity, background, and optional sound. Default global hotkeys include Control+1 for static zoom, Control+2 for draw without zoom, Control+3 for the break timer, Control+4 for live zoom, Control+5 and Control+Shift+5 for screen and region recording, Control+6 and Control+Shift+6 for snip to clipboard or file, Control+Option+6 for OCR, and Control+8 / Control+Shift+8 for panorama to clipboard or file. All hotkeys are configurable in a tabbed Settings dialog covering hotkeys, zoom, draw, type, snip, record, webcam, panorama, and launch-at-login preferences. Installation is available through the Homebrew Sysinternals tap. The project requires macOS 14 or newer, Xcode command-line tools, and Screen Recording permission for capture; microphone and camera permissions are only needed for those recording options.
