About this project

Meridian is a productivity tool that automatically tracks and reconstructs your workday by analyzing screen activity. It generates a timeline of your activities, provides a daily summary of completed tasks, and drafts project ticket updates (e.g., for Jira) without manual input. Key features include: end-of-day standup summaries, historical worklog retrieval, time tracking, and estimate analysis. All data is stored locally in an encrypted database, with optional AI provider integration for summarization. Privacy is prioritized, with diagnostics opt-out and anonymized before transmission. The tool is designed for macOS (Apple Silicon) and Windows 10/11, with low system resource usage (5-10% CPU, 0.5-3 GB RAM). Open-source under the MIT License, it can be built from source using Rust, Node.js, and Bun.
