About this project
LunarCore is a game server reimplementation for version 4.2.0 of a certain turn-based anime game, created for educational purposes. It provides a private server experience with many basic game features implemented.

### Running the server and client
#### Prerequisites
- Java 21 JDK (Java 25 JDK recommended)
- MongoDB 4.0+ (recommended, but not required as the server includes an internal MongoDB)
#### Compiling the server
1. Compile with `./gradlew jar`
2. Create a `resources` folder in the server directory
3. Download `Config`, `TextMap`, and `ExcelBin` folders from the provided data repository and place them into the resources folder
4. Run with `java -jar LunarCore.jar`
#### Connecting with the client (Fiddler method)
1. Log in to an official server at least once to download game data
2. Install and run Fiddler Classic
3. Add the provided Fiddler script to redirect requests to localhost
4. Create an account (if autoCreateAccount is false) using `/account create [name]` in the server console
5. Login with the account name (password ignored)
### Server commands
Commands can be run in the server console or in-game by messaging the dummy user "Server". Commands include account management, avatar modification, item giving, teleportation, scene management, and more. A full list is provided in the README.
