About this project
Logly Analytics – WordPress plugin
Logly is a privacy‑first web analytics solution that can be added to any WordPress site via a small plugin. The tracker script is under 1 KB, does not set cookies or store personal data, and therefore complies with GDPR without requiring a consent banner. It also works with popular ad‑blockers such as Brave Shields and uBlock Origin.
Key features
- Minimal impact: the script is <1 KB, preserving Lighthouse scores and Core Web Vitals.
- Cookie‑free: no persistent identifiers, no personal data collection.
- Ad‑blocker compatible: works even when users have Brave or uBlock enabled.
- Active time measurement: records real reading time rather than just tab open time.
- Free tier: up to 10,000 pageviews per month, no credit‑card required.
- Integrated dashboard: analytics are displayed inside the WordPress admin area.
Installation
1. Download the latest `logly-analytics-*.zip` from the GitHub Releases page.
2. In WordPress Admin, go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin, select the zip, then Install and Activate.
3. Open the new **Logly** menu entry, paste your Site ID (available from the Logly dashboard at app.logly.uk), and save.
Alternative installation methods include searching for *Logly Analytics* on WordPress.org (once approved) or manually copying the `logly/` folder into `wp-content/plugins/`.
