TianGong-LCA-MCP provides a Model Context Protocol server focused on life-cycle assessment (LCA) data access. It supports two MCP transports: a local STDIO server for command-line or desktop MCP hosts, and a Streamable HTTP server for remote access. The HTTP endpoint is protected as an OAuth 2.1 resource: compatible MCP hosts discover metadata at /.well-known/oauth-protected-resource/mcp, use Supabase Auth for Authorization Code with S256 PKCE, and send short-lived Supabase ES256 access JWTs. The server validates signature, issuer, audience, expiry, role/session, and exact client ID, while Supabase/PostgREST enforce row-level security. Operators configure allowed public OAuth client IDs and browser origins via environment variables; dynamic client registration is disabled. Optional GLAD dataset search tools require a GLAD API key and base URL. Deployment options include installing the npm package and running the STDIO command with dotenv, using Docker with an environment file and published port, or building the image locally. Local testing scripts launch STDIO and HTTP servers through MCP Inspector wrappers.
