spotatui

spotatui is a fast, standalone terminal music player written in Rust, offering native Spotify streaming alongside local files, Subsonic/Navidrome, Internet Radio, YouTube, and Qobuz as optional sources. Spotify is not required—users can switch between sources at runtime. Key features include synced lyrics, a real-time audio visualizer, cross-source play queues, playlist sync across platforms, Lua plugins for extensibility, and a full CLI for scripting playback, search, and playlists. The player is lightweight (~78 MB RAM) and supports Discord Rich Presence, anonymous global song counting, and GitHub profile widgets for now-playing status. Advanced features include AI DJ capabilities (via MCP server or built-in TUI) for AI-driven music selection based on listening history, and native Spotify streaming without external clients (Premium required). Configuration is highly customizable, including themes, keybindings, and layout. Prebuilt binaries are available for Linux, macOS, and Windows, with installation via one-line scripts, package managers, or Cargo.
