About this project

CrossOver is a free, open-source crosshair overlay tool designed to improve aiming precision across various applications and games. It functions as a transparent layer on top of any window, allowing users to place and customize crosshairs without injecting code or modifying game files, ensuring it is generally not bannable. The software features a library of over 530 built-in crosshair designs, including scope reticles, dots, and tactical optics, alongside the ability to import custom images in PNG, SVG, or GIF formats. Users can adjust size, color, opacity, and position via keyboard shortcuts or a settings menu. CrossOver supports multi-monitor setups, allows for duplicate crosshairs, and offers features like hiding the overlay when aiming down sights (ADS). It is available for Windows, macOS, and Linux, with specific instructions for Wayland and compositor compatibility.
