NTE Piano MIDI Player is a native macOS utility built with Swift and SwiftUI that allows players to perform MIDI files on the in-game piano in Neverness to Everness (NTE). It supports the game's 21-key natural and 36-key chromatic layouts, providing automatic arrangement features such as transposition, octave folding, and chord reduction to fit the game's specific musical constraints. For the 36-key mode, the app integrates with Karabiner's VirtualHID driver to simulate hardware-level modifier keys (Shift and Control) which the game requires for chromatic notes. Users can preview songs via built-in audio, manage individual MIDI tracks, adjust tempo, and export piano sheets with key labels. The tool includes a safety-focused design with a countdown timer and foreground-app detection to ensure input is only sent when the game is active.
