jscpd

jscpd is a high-performance duplicate code detector supporting 220+ programming languages. Built on a Rust engine, it tokenizes source code using language-specific comment and string rules, then finds duplicated token sequences with a rolling Rabin-Karp hash. It detects exact clones, Type-2 clones (renamed identifiers/literals), and Type-3 near-miss clones with configurable similarity thresholds. Beyond duplication, it offers dead code detection, complexity ranking, duplication trends over git history, and a unified health score. It ships as a self-contained binary via npm, PyPI, crates.io, Homebrew, Nix, and Docker, plus a GitHub Action for CI integration. It includes 15 reporters (console, JSON, HTML, SARIF, Code Climate, etc.), baseline support for gating on new clones only, and AI-ready features like a token-efficient AI reporter, installable agent skills, and a built-in MCP server for AI assistants.
