About this project
ArchiSteamFarm (ASF) is a C# application whose primary purpose is farming Steam cards from multiple accounts simultaneously. Unlike tools such as Idle Master, which handle one account at a time and require the Steam client running in the background with extra processes imitating a "playing" status, ASF needs no Steam client, launches no additional processes, and is designed to manage an unlimited number of Steam accounts at once. It targets servers and other desktop-less machines and offers cross-OS support, running on any operating system with a .NET Core runtime, including Windows, Linux and macOS. It is built on the SteamKit2 library.
Beyond card farming, ASF has grown into a broader Steam power tool. It can act as a Steam authenticator or chat logger, and it includes a plugin system so users can extend it with their own code.
Core features described in the README:
- Automatic farming of available games with card drops using any number of active accounts
- No requirement to run or even install the official Steam client
- Focus on security and privacy, with a stated guarantee of being VAC-free
- Error-reporting mechanism intended to stay reliable during Steam issues and network problems
- Flexible card-farming algorithm with customization options
- Offline farming, which skips in-game status so friends do not see a fake playing status
- Advanced Steam account support: redeeming keys and gifts, accepting trades, sending messages and more
- Support for Steam security features including SteamGuard, SteamParental and two-factor authentication
- ASF 2FA, allowing ASF to act as a mobile authenticator when needed
- STM-like trade integration, both passive (accepting) and active (sending), to help complete sets
- Plugin system for extending ASF through custom code
- Powered by .NET Core with cross-OS compatibility and official Windows, Linux and macOS support
Setup guidance is provided in the project wiki's setting-up section, and compatibility details are covered in the wiki's compatibility section. The project also links a web config generator, an online statistics page, a Steam group, a Discord server and a Crowdin localization project. The README lists donation options via GitHub Sponsors, PayPal, Revolut, Steam and several cryptocurrencies.
