About this project

Nimbus Player is a media client for Windows designed to reduce switching between different apps and provide an immersive viewing experience. It is not a media server; instead, it connects to users' existing media sources through a unified interface, including media servers such as Jellyfin, Emby, Plex, and Feiniu Media, as well as direct storage such as local directories, SMB, WebDAV, and 115 cloud storage. **Main Features** - **Unified Media Library**: Switch between different sources in the sidebar, with support for poster walls, lists, search, favorites, playback history, and continue watching. - **Direct-Connect Resource Library Organization**: Automatically scans and identifies movies, series, anime, variety shows, music, and other content, supplements posters, synopses, cast and crew, and episode information, supports manual matching and correction, optimizes scanning and classification for large media libraries, and automatically merges multiple seasons of the same work. - **Playback Experience**: Independent playback window, with support for embedded/external subtitles and style adjustments, hardware acceleration, color space, picture presets, and network caching; Jellyfin/Emby/Plex multi-version content can select the highest bitrate; supports ISO, BDMV, DVD, and other disc-based content; provides diagnostic information when playback issues occur. - **Anime and Danmaku**: Supports anime content recognition and episode matching, multiple commonly used danmaku sources, adjustable danmaku speed, size, density, and display range, and the ability to search and switch danmaku during playback. - **Music**: Supports music library browsing and playback, lyrics display with word-by-word highlighting, and embedded cover art can be read for local and WebDAV audio. **Data and Privacy** Nimbus does not upload or host media files. Server credentials are protected by system security capabilities. Posters, media information, playback history, and logs are stored in the local data directory selected by the user. When using online information, danmaku, update checks, or issue feedback, it will connect to the corresponding services. Logs try to hide sensitive content as much as possible, but users still need to check them themselves before submitting feedback. **Availability and Feedback** The app is distributed and updated through the Microsoft Store. This repository is only for product introduction and issue feedback. It does not contain the app source code and does not accept Pull Requests for undisclosed code. Users can submit issues or suggestions through GitHub Issues. When providing feedback, include the app version, media source, reproduction steps, and necessary screenshots, but do not publicly disclose passwords, tokens, full server addresses, or private file paths.
