About this project
IPScout is a Go‑based command‑line utility that gathers information about an IP address or hostname from 67 different sources. It concurrently queries cloud providers, CDNs, web crawlers, monitoring services, threat feeds and bogon lists, then presents the results in a table, JSON or CSV format. The tool supports caching of provider data with per‑source TTLs, a built‑in rating command that aggregates threat scores and suggests block/allow actions, and extensive configuration via a YAML file. Installation is available via Homebrew (cask), a shell script, pre‑built binaries, or by building from source with Go 1.24+. The README details provider categories, configuration options, rating defaults, AI‑assisted analysis, and maintenance commands such as cache management. It is designed for security analysts who need quick, reliable enrichment and risk assessment of network endpoints.
