About this project

Indy News is a FastAPI backend service designed to aggregate content from a curated list of independent media outlets. It consolidates data from multiple platforms, including YouTube (with transcript support), X/Twitter, and Substack, into a unified API. The service enables time-based and topic-based searches across all platforms simultaneously, helping users discover diverse viewpoints outside mainstream media. It includes endpoints for content search, source discovery, and media metadata, and features a Streamlit-based frontend interface for easy interaction.
