Rime Ice (rime-ice) is a Rime input method configuration tailored for Simplified Chinese users, offering out-of-the-box full pinyin and multiple double pinyin schemes, including Ziranma, Xiaohe, Microsoft, Sogou, Smart ABC, Ziguang, and Pinyin Jiajia. The project maintains a million-level Chinese-English lexicon on a long-term basis, encompassing a basic lexicon, extended lexicon, English lexicon, and Emoji, with continuous proofreading of variant characters, typos, phonetic annotations, and word frequency. The configuration includes a wealth of built-in input features: mixed Chinese-English input, fuzzy sounds, automatic error correction, simplified-traditional conversion, character decomposition reverse lookup, symbol input, word-by-character selection, auxiliary code character lookup, typo and mispronunciation prompts, automatic English capitalization, date and lunar calendar input, calculator, Unicode input, UUID generation, and digital currency transcription. The project is compatible with mainstream Rime clients such as Weasel, Squirrel, Fcitx5, and iBus, supporting manual deployment via compressed packages or command-line installation using plum. The configuration files contain detailed comments to facilitate user learning and customization, and also support overriding configurations through patches without affecting future updates. The project is licensed under GPL-3.0, providing detailed installation guides, feature demonstrations, frequently asked questions, and channels for collaborative lexicon building.
