About this project
userfy is a Windows 10/11 desktop app that transforms your personal music library into a Spotify-style experience. Point it at your folders and it builds home shelves, Daily Mixes, a daylist, Discover Weekly, Release Radar, and top mixes entirely on your PC. It plays MP3, FLAC, WAV, Ogg, Opus, and M4A (AAC and ALAC) files, with gapless playback, crossfade, volume levelling, a 10-band EQ, and a sleep timer.
Key features include song and artist radio, autoplay, smart shuffle, synced lyrics from .lrc files or tags (side rail and full screen), artist and album pages with credits, playlists (including smart playlists), drag-and-drop, undo, and Recently deleted. It also offers a Wrapped-style year-in-review every December 24th, plus year-round listening stats. You can import Spotify playlists by link or a full Spotify data export, and optionally sign in to Tidal to stream, like, and download missing tracks as tagged FLAC. Podcasts, audiobooks, and audio CDs (play, rip, burn) are supported.
An optional AI DJ and AI playlists run entirely on your PC (using llama.cpp and Qwen3). The app includes a mini player, media keys, global hotkeys, and a command palette (Ctrl+K). It auto-updates and comes with five themes (userfy, Brutal, Aqua Y2K, Terminal, Frutiger Aero) in light, dark, and OLED variants with five colour schemes.
Privacy is a core focus: your library, plays, likes, and playlists stay in a local SQLite database and go nowhere else. No ads, no analytics, no account. The app only goes online for features you enable (Tidal, Spotify import, podcasts, Discord presence, one-time AI model download, update check).
Built on Tauri 2, React, SQLite, Lofty, Symphonia, llama.cpp, Qwen3, Piper, and Inter. The app itself is closed source; this repository serves as the download page and issue tracker. Installers are available for Windows 10/11 (64-bit) as .exe (per-user, no admin) and .msi.
