About this project
HTW Media Client is an open-source desktop client built on Electron that interfaces with the HTW Media Platform V2 API. It provides a one-stop workbench integrating topic selection, transcription, media insights, content creation, smart editing, and multi-platform publishing functions.
Key Features:
- Agent Native: All capabilities are simultaneously open as Agent Skills, allowing AI programming assistants (such as Claude Code, Cursor) to directly orchestrate the entire workflow.
- Full-Link One-Stop: Complete media insights, AI creation, smart editing, and multi-platform distribution within a single workbench, whereas most competitors only provide single-point functions.
- Three-Terminal Parity: Windows desktop, Web installation-free, and CLI share the same account and full capabilities, supporting macOS users.
Functions include:
- Audio Transcription/Subtitles: One-click transcription of video and audio, with downloadable subtitle text output.
- Topic Radar: Provides today's topics (with data evidence), benchmarking radar (monitoring viral hits from benchmark accounts), and hot list trends (hour-level heat curves).
- Media Insights: Copywriting analysis (deconstruction of titles, tags, etc.), video analysis (parsing Bilibili/Xiaohongshu/Douyin links), and hot list overview.
- Content Creation: AI-assisted generation of short video scripts, graphics, and articles; supports uploading reference materials (≤20MB); provides marketing final cuts (automatic generation of selling points and spoken copy) and short drama creation.
- Smart Editing: Rough cut (automatic generation of streamlined final cuts based on set duration intervals), draft export (exporting CapCut/Jianying project files), super-resolution (increasing resolution), and decryption (parsing Jianying drafts).
- Multi-Platform Publishing: Supports simultaneous distribution to Douyin, Xiaohongshu, Bilibili, and Toutiao; compliance detection before publishing; AI-generated copy and covers.
- Large File Direct Upload: Built-in chunked uploading, automatically bypassing slow domains and connecting directly to source station IPs for acceleration.
- Agent Friendly: All capabilities are provided as Agent Skills.
The client only calls the HTW Media Platform server-side API; heavy-load tasks (transcription, editing, rendering, publishing) are completed on the server. The desktop client requires an AuthKey (from the HTW Media Platform Web end) to be entered in the settings. The Web version (https://htwmedia.dpdns.org) provides functions identical to the desktop client, suitable for macOS or any device with a browser.
Data Strategy:
- Materials/final cuts are used temporarily only during server-side processing and are destroyed upon task completion.
- Platform Cookies are stored only in the local client; during publishing, the client requests platform interfaces directly without passing through HTW servers.
- Transcription/editing/publishing are handled by automated pipelines without manual intervention.
System Requirements: Windows 10+ / macOS 11+ / mainstream Linux; Node.js 18+ required (not required for packaged desktop client); HTW Media Platform AuthKey required.
The project is open-sourced under the MIT license.
