About this project

Sleepyland offers educational content on sleep science, including insomnia, circadian rhythms, environmental sound, and wellness claims — all presented with source citations, evidence labels, and clear limits of applicability. It does not provide medical advice or clinical review. The site includes a built-in browser sound machine that synthesizes white, pink, and brown noise, ocean surf, and spatial audio using the Web Audio API — no recorded files, accounts, or server-side processing are used. All settings remain local to the user’s device. Research articles are drafted by AI agents and reviewed by a separate Codex AI against cited sources; human clinical review is not claimed. The platform exposes structured data, RSS feeds, sitemaps, and Markdown versions of articles for both human readers and automated agents. No public API, OAuth, or upload features exist. Contributions are welcome via GitHub issues and pull requests following documented guidelines. Development uses Bun and Node.js, with tests and type checks enforced before deployment. Privacy is prioritized: analytics are cookieless, anonymous, and limited to categorical events without tracking personal behavior or tuning values.
