Dev Templates is a collection of project templates for the Urbalurba developer platform. It offers quick, modern, and standardized starting points for new projects—APIs, web apps, backends, or experiments—lowering the entry barrier for developers and enabling rapid prototyping with consistent best practices. The repository is consumed by scripts in devcontainer-toolbox; developers don't clone it directly. It contains app templates (installed via `dev-template`) and AI workflow templates (installed via `dev-template-ai`). App templates include backend templates (Basic Web Server, Simple Database Integration with SQLite, Database Integration with PostgreSQL, Message Queue with Dapr/RabbitMQ, Serverless Functions with Knative, Object Storage with MinIO, Application Logging) and application templates (Basic React App with Designsystemet, Basic NextJs App). Each template provides a working starting point with application code, Kubernetes manifests, Dockerfile, and GitHub Actions CI/CD. The `dev-template` command downloads the repo, shows a menu, and copies the selected template into the project, replacing placeholders like `{{GITHUB_USERNAME}}` and `{{REPO_NAME}}`. AI workflow templates set up AI-assisted development workflows, including portable docs, CLAUDE.md, plan folders (backlog, active, completed), and a project skeleton. The plan-based workflow includes investigation plans, phased implementation, and human-in-the-loop validation. Documentation includes a case study, architecture details, developer setup guide, and an AI developer guide. The project uses AI-assisted development with a plan-based workflow for contributions.
