About this project

Helio is a free and open-source music sequencer designed for desktop platforms (Windows, macOS, Linux) and mobile devices (Android, iOS). The project aims to rethink the traditional music sequencer by prioritizing an uncluttered, distraction-free user interface that aims for clarity over cleverness. Key features include: - Cross-platform availability on desktop and mobile operating systems. - Support for experimental music concepts, such as exotic scales and microtonal temperaments. - A built-in scripting language based on a Lisp interpreter (wisp) for extending the sequencer. - An integrated SoundFont player instrument based on SFZero. - Built-in high-quality metronome sounds. - Released under the GNU GPL v3 license, with community-driven translations and development supported by Patreon and OpenCollective.
