About this project

BFA-HavenCore is an open-source project for World of Warcraft, currently supporting the 8.3.7 (build 35662) game version. It aims to recreate the Battle for Azeroth experience as faithfully as possible while maintaining a Blizzlike gameplay experience. The project is actively maintained, with a focus on stability, scripting quality, and gameplay accuracy. The entire codebase is freely available for the community to use, learn from, and contribute to. Project goals include fixing bugs and core issues, implementing missing game content, improving scripting accuracy, and enhancing database quality and overall stability. The project encourages contributions from everyone, whether through testing gameplay, reporting bugs, fixing core issues, improving scripts, or working on the database. Contributors can fork the repository and submit pull requests, open issues for bugs or missing content, or create extra content such as video tutorials. Community support is available through the official WoW Haven Discord server, where developers and contributors can collaborate. The project requires CMake 3.20+ (recommended 3.31.5), Boost ≥ 1.74.0 (1.78.0 for Windows), MySQL ≥ 8.0 (recommended 8.4), OpenSSL 3.x.x, and Microsoft Visual Studio 2022 (Version 17+) with Desktop Development with C++ installed. The project is licensed under the GNU General Public License v3.0 (GPL-3.0).
