SpendWiser is a web-based personal finance application that combines expense tracking, budgeting, financial goal setting, and analytics in a responsive interface. It supports managing checking, savings, and credit card accounts, recurring transactions, CSV import/export, and JSON backup/restore. A loan repayment simulator models prepayments and extra EMIs to show interest savings and payoff timelines. The dashboard is customizable, with projected cash flow, account balances, interactive charts, and configurable reports. A notable feature is optional zero-touch SMS automation through a separate open-source Android companion app. The companion app intercepts bank SMS alerts and sends them to a serverless pipeline that can use a user-provided Google Gemini API key for AI parsing, with fallback to a regex engine. Data is stored in the user's own Firebase vault rather than on SpendWiser servers. The project is built with React, TypeScript, Vite, Firebase, Tailwind CSS, and Framer Motion. It is distributed under the PolyForm Noncommercial License 1.0.0, allowing personal, non-commercial use and modification but not commercial use without a separate license.
