Elden Ring Save Manager is a desktop application that edits, repairs and backs up save files for Elden Ring and several other FromSoftware titles. It provides a graphical interface and is distributed as a Windows executable and a Linux AppImage, with support for Steam, Flatpak and Steam Deck save locations, plus decrypted PlayStation and Switch saves. Core capabilities include a save file fixer that detects and repairs common corruption problems such as the Torrent bug, torn save writes, the Ranni softlock, stuck warps, invalid DLC coordinates and DLC entry flags. A troubleshooting tab scans game files and checks for Steam elevation, VPNs and software that may interfere with launching a modded game. Editing features cover character management (export, import, move and copy characters as .erc files), a character editor for stats, name, level, runes and NG level, an inventory editor with item spawning, validation, visual pickers, loadout sharing and build import, an equipment editor with shareable loadouts, and an appearance editor for presets with JSON import/export and code sharing. Two community browsers let users browse, download, like, report and contribute characters and appearance presets, with image previews, search, filtering and local caching. The world state tools offer 451 known teleport locations, an interactive overworld map, custom coordinate teleportation and a bloodstain move function. Additional tools include a SteamID patcher for transferring saves between accounts, an event flags editor, boss and NPC respawners, an NPC quest tracker, gesture unlocking, and invasion region and game settings editing. A backup manager creates automatic backups before edits and supports manual named backups, browsing, restoring, pruning and auto-backup on game launch. Backup and SteamID patching are also provided for Elden Ring Nightreign, Armored Core 6, Sekiro, Dark Souls III, Dark Souls II SotfS and Dark Souls Remastered, with varying editing support per title. The project is source-available under its own license and credits several save-file research projects and community testers.
