About this project

Residuum is a personal AI agent platform designed to eliminate context loss and repetitive explanations. It provides a single continuous conversation thread that persists across sessions, so agents remember past work, decisions, and open items. Users can interact from computer, phone, or web, and agents can run routine tasks like morning briefings and deadline tracking. The system supports building a team of specialized agents shaped through conversation, with Residuum coordinating them. It works with multiple AI providers including Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Fireworks, and local models, with automatic fallback. Installation is via a simple script for Linux/macOS, with Windows binaries available. The cloud service extends agent reach to mobile and keeps them running while the laptop sleeps, free during alpha. The project is MIT licensed and open source.
