godot-docs

This repository contains the source files for Godot Engine's official documentation, authored in reStructuredText (reST) markup and processed with the Sphinx documentation builder to generate the HTML site at docs.godotengine.org. Users can download offline copies in HTML or ePub format for stable, latest, and 3.6 branches, updated weekly. The documentation uses the sphinx_rtd_theme with customizations and supports automatic light/dark theme switching based on browser/OS preferences. A comprehensive contributing guide covers writing for the online manual, class reference, content and writing guidelines, building the manual locally, and translation workflows. Content is licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 (CC BY 3.0) with attribution to Juan Linietsky, Ariel Manzur, and the Godot community, except the classes/ folder which is derived from the main Godot repository and licensed under MIT.
