About this project
Steam Achievement Manager (SAM) is a lightweight, portable application designed to manage achievements and statistics for games on the Steam platform. Originally released as closed-source software in 2008 with its last major release in 2011 and a final hotfix in 2013, the codebase has been made open-source with several updates including general code maintenance to bring it into a more modern state, replacement of icons with ones from the Fugue Icons set, and a version bump to 7.0.x.x to indicate the open-source release. The application requires the Steam client to be running, a valid Steam account, and network access. Users must be logged into Steam to use the tool. The project is built using C# and targets Windows platforms. It is distributed as a portable application, meaning no installation is required. The project is hosted on GitHub and built using AppVeyor CI.
