Ghosten Player is a video playback and media library app designed for Android Phone, Android Pad, and Android TV, aiming to consolidate scattered video resources. The app scrapes media information from themoviedb and supports reading nfo files; it also provides IPTV channel switching, auto-grouping, and EPG program schedules. Regarding resource sources, it supports local media files, external USB devices, WebDAV, Aliyun Drive, Quark Drive, as well as Emby and Jellyfin. Cloud drive capabilities include multi-account login, file viewing and management, downloading, play-while-downloading, and multi-threaded network acceleration; Aliyun Drive also supports resolution switching. The player offers gesture controls, volume and brightness adjustment, screen zoom, drag-to-seek, long-press speed control, skip intro/outro, playback speed options, video track selection, and DLNA casting. For subtitles, it can play embedded subtitles and supports external subtitle formats like xml, vtt, ass, and srt, along with custom subtitle styles. The interface provides Chinese and English languages, light and dark modes, customizable interface size, and on TV it allows custom button mapping, while the phone version can assist with TV input. Other features include in-app search, cross-device data synchronization, and automatic updates. The README notes the app size is approximately 15 MB, runs locally without needing a self-hosted backend, but cloud drive services are provided by respective vendors. Installation requires selecting an APK from GitHub Releases based on device architecture; since v1.6.0, phone/tablet and TV versions are distributed separately and cannot be mixed, offering arm64-v8a and armeabi-v7a builds, requiring Android 6.0 or higher.
