Emdash is an open-source desktop application designed to run multiple AI coding agents concurrently. Each task operates in its own Git worktree, allowing users to explore multiple fixes or features simultaneously, review diffs, and merge successful changes. It supports local projects and remote machines via SSH/SFTP, and integrates with existing CLI agents such as Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode, Amp, and more. Key features include: - Parallel execution of multiple coding agents without terminal juggling. - Isolation of each agent in its own Git worktree and branch. - Integration with issue trackers like Linear, GitHub, Jira, GitLab, Asana, Featurebase, Monday.com, Forgejo, and Plain. - Unified review of diffs, pull request creation, CI inspection, and merging. - Remote project support over SSH/SFTP with keychain credential storage. Installation is available for macOS (Homebrew or direct DMG), Windows (MSI or portable EXE), and Linux (AppImage, DEB, RPM) for both x64 and ARM64 architectures. Emdash automatically detects installed provider CLIs and supports agents like Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, OpenCode, Amp, Devin, Qwen Code, Droid, and GitHub Copilot. For agents with lifecycle-hook support, it installs marker-tagged entries in the user-level config to track status, notifications, and resumable sessions. The application is local-first, storing state in a local SQLite database, and does not send code or chats to Emdash servers. Telemetry is optional and can be disabled via settings or the TELEMETRY_ENABLED=false environment variable.
