ACE-Step UI is a community-driven, open-source web application designed as a professional user interface for the ACE-Step 1.5 AI music generation engine. Positioned as a free, local, and unlimited alternative to commercial services like Suno and Udio, it allows users to generate high-quality AI music entirely on their own hardware. Built using React 18, TypeScript, TailwindCSS, and SQLite via an Express.js backend, the application emphasizes a local-first approach with no cloud dependency. It communicates with the ACE-Step 1.5 model through its Gradio API. Key features include a Spotify-like dark/light user interface with library management, playlists, and a bottom player with waveform display. The tool supports comprehensive music generation capabilities such as full song creation with vocals, instrumental mode, custom parameters (BPM, key, duration, time signature), batch generation, and AI-powered tag enhancement. Advanced audio features include reference audio style transfer, audio cover generation, track repainting, and stem extraction using Demucs. Additional built-in utilities comprise an audio editor powered by AudioMass, a music video generator using Pexels stock footage, and procedural gradient album art generation. Installation is highly simplified via Pinokio one-click install, a Windows portable package, or platform-specific shell scripts. It targets NVIDIA GPUs with 4GB+ VRAM for basic use, and 12GB+ VRAM for LLM-assisted thinking modes.
