About this project

FinceptTerminal is a native desktop application for financial research and analysis, written in C++20 with a Qt6 user interface and embedded Python 3.11 for analytics. It is distributed as a single binary (no Electron or browser runtime) and is available for Windows, Linux, and macOS. The open-source edition (AGPL-3.0) includes: - **Analytics**: DCF valuation, portfolio optimization, VaR/Sharpe ratios, derivatives pricing, fixed income, alternatives, and an 18-module QuantLib suite. - **AI**: 37 trader/investor, economic, and geopolitics agents; supports bring-your-own-key with providers like OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, Groq, DeepSeek, OpenRouter, and Ollama. - **Data**: 100+ connectors to FRED, IMF, World Bank, DBnomics, AkShare, Polygon, Kraken, Yahoo Finance, and government APIs. - **Trading**: Crypto and equity feeds, a paper-trading engine, and 16 broker integrations. - **Automation**: Visual node editor, MCP tools, and an AI Quant Lab for machine learning, factor discovery, and reinforcement learning. - **Global intelligence**: Maritime tracking, geopolitical analysis, and relationship mapping. The repository also promotes a commercial Enterprise edition with proprietary features such as live broker routing, multi-agent AI research, SSO/SAML, and audit logs. The open-source build is maintained with monthly releases and remains free for personal, learning, and academic use. Installation is available via installers for Windows, Linux (AppImage, .deb, .rpm), and macOS (Apple Silicon). Building from source is supported with a pinned toolchain (CMake 3.27.7, Ninja 1.11.1, Qt 6.8.3, Python 3.11.9).
