About this project

Newsjack is an open-source collection of skills and a CLI that transforms AI agents (like Claude Code, Codex, Hermes, OpenClaw) into a comprehensive PR team. It addresses four core areas: Detect (monitoring news, finding newsjacking opportunities, tracking coverage), Act (generating angles, headlines, fact-checking, journalist outreach), Strategize (PR planning, calendar, newsworthiness checks), and AI visibility (optimizing content for AI answers). Skills are invoked by name or automatically selected by the agent. Installation is simple via a one-line curl command or npm, with support for various platforms including local agents and chat apps like Claude.ai and ChatGPT Work. The toolkit includes setup skills for monitoring profiles and coverage tracking, and some features require external connections like the Medialyst API for live news search and journalist enrichment.
