Plezy is a modern client for Plex, Jellyfin and Emby, built with Flutter and distributed for desktop, mobile and TV platforms. It is licensed under GPL-3.0 and offers official downloads for macOS, Linux (x64 and arm64), plus App Store, Google Play, Amazon App Store and Microsoft Store listings, with package-manager options such as Homebrew, WinGet, Flatpak, Pacman, DNF, Nix and aerynOS Moss. Browsing and discovery cover libraries, collections and playlists for video and audio, a Discover hub with Continue Watching, Next Up, trending and recommendations, cross-server search across all connected servers, filtering, sorting, alphabetical jump navigation, folder browsing and folder playback, resolution/HDR/Dolby Vision/audio-format badges, favorites and unwatched filters, and extras such as trailers and deleted scenes. An Explore tab aggregates watchlists, trending, popular and recommendation rows from Plex Discover, Trakt, MyAnimeList, AniList, Simkl and Seerr, matches catalog titles back to local libraries by external ID, supports Seerr requests with per-season, 4K and destination options, and syncs watchlists across those services. Playback supports HEVC, AV1, VP9 and more, HDR and Dolby Vision, direct play or transcode presets from 240p/320 kbps to 1080p/20 Mbps, multi-version switching, full ASS/SSA subtitles with styling, online subtitle search, remembered audio/subtitle choices, progress sync and resume, auto-play next with skip intro/credits, chapter navigation with thumbnail previews, playback speed 0.25x-8x, audio sync offset, sleep timer, video zoom, audio passthrough, channel limits, loudness normalization, a file info sheet, ambient lighting and GLSL shader presets, picture-in-picture, refresh-rate matching and external player launch with progress sync back. Music features include artist/album/track browsing, album and artist screens with play, shuffle and Instant Mix, gapless playback with a reorderable queue, synced lyrics where the server provides them, a persistent mini-player, background playback with lock-screen and media controls, offline playback of downloads, and streaming quality presets. Live TV and DVR cover channel browsing, tuning and favorites, an EPG guide with What's On and per-show schedules, recording rules and scheduled recordings, and multi-server Live TV where available. Downloads and offline mode support movies, shows and music with a background queue, pause/resume, sync rules and offline browsing with watch-state sync-back. Watch Together provides synchronized playback with real-time play/pause/seek sync, host handoff under stated conditions, and reconnect behavior that authenticates retained room membership; self-hosted relays must support authenticatedResume for recovery. Integrations include Discord Rich Presence, Trakt, MyAnimeList, AniList and Simkl ratings, watched sync and scrobbling, Plezy Remote control from mobile, and a Watch Next row with tvOS Top Shelf.
