SFTPGo is a full-featured and highly configurable event-driven file transfer solution. It supports multiple server protocols including SFTP, HTTP/S, FTP/S, and WebDAV. Storage backends include local filesystem, encrypted local filesystem, S3-compatible object storage, Google Cloud Storage, Azure Blob Storage, and other SFTP servers. It is designed to leverage local and cloud storage backends for exchanging and storing files internally or with business partners using familiar tools and processes. The project offers two editions: an open-source Community edition (AGPLv3) and a commercial Enterprise edition. The Community edition is production-ready and includes all core protocols, storage backends, and WebAdmin/WebClient UIs. The Enterprise edition adds advanced features such as high-performance cloud storage, enhanced high availability, dynamic automation logic, smart archiving, email data ingestion, advanced public sharing, data protection (PGP, antivirus, DLP), extended SSO controls, and in-browser document editing. Community support is provided via GitHub Discussions, while commercial support is available for the Enterprise edition, which can be deployed on-premises or as a fully managed SaaS. The project is actively developed and maintained, with translations managed via Crowdin. It acknowledges third-party libraries and contributions, and the UI themes are licensed from KeenThemes with restrictions on derivative use. The source code is licensed under AGPL-3.0-only with additional terms.
