About this project
DeltaTor is an Android VPN client that embeds a full Tor stack (libtor, lyrebird for obfs4/webtunnel, and hev-socks5-tunnel for tun2socks) directly in the APK, requiring no external Tor installation. It connects by racing several Tor clients in parallel, each using a different pluggable transport (vanilla, obfs4, webtunnel, snowflake, or direct), and the first to reach 100% bootstrap wins. A 'memory' runner automatically stores and reuses bridges that have proven to work, improving connection reliability over time. The app includes a bridge list collector with offline fallback, supports custom bridges, exit country selection with proper geoip handling, and provides a detailed in-app log with per-transport filters. It is designed for ARM devices (Android 7.0+), offers per-ABI APKs, and emphasizes privacy with no analytics or telemetry. The project is open-source, with native code built via Gradle and the NDK, and includes CI workflows for automated builds and releases.
