About this project

Presidio is an open-source framework for detecting and anonymizing sensitive data (PII) in text and images. It provides fast identification and anonymization modules for entities like credit card numbers, names, locations, social security numbers, and more. Key features include predefined and custom PII recognizers using Named Entity Recognition, regular expressions, rule-based logic, and checksum with context in multiple languages.
