About this project

ArcadeManager is a rom management tool for arcade emulation, aimed at users of MAME and FBNeo romsets. It is distributed as a desktop application for Windows, macOS and Linux, and its interface is translated into multiple languages. Main capabilities described in the README: - Filtering and cleanup: helps remove unwanted, bad or unplayable games from an arcade rom collection, and can copy or clean up a selected set of roms. - Curated lists: includes several pre-built selections of "best games" plus a wizard, useful when a full MAME romset contains thousands of titles. - Romset maintenance: checks and fixes a romset and converts it to non-merged format (other romset types are not supported; the README points to ClrMamePro for those conversions). - Overlays/bezels: downloads and installs an overlays pack, currently only for Retropie and Recalbox. - Game list management: merge and split list files, convert DAT or INI files, and related operations used together with rom file management. The README notes that copying files assumes a working romset matching the MAME/FBNeo version in use, and that the tool does not download roms. Development and packaging: the project uses the .NET 10 SDK and NodeJS 22 or later, with an Electron-based desktop shell. Builds are published per platform via dotnet publish profiles (win-x64, linux-x64, osx-arm64); the README states Windows ARM, Linux ARM and macOS x86 are not currently supported. Sample romsets can be generated with a PowerShell script for testing. Translations are plain INI-style text files under Data\translations, and contributions are accepted via pull requests or Weblate. CI badges cover Windows, Linux and macOS builds, and SonarCloud badges report code quality metrics.
