About this project

Chia is a modern cryptocurrency designed for efficiency, decentralization, and security. It uses a Proof of Space and Time consensus mechanism, allowing users to farm with standard hardware. Key features include a full node, farmer, harvester, timelord, and wallet, all implemented in Python. The project offers a user-friendly GUI and CLI, a simplified UTXO transaction model, and a Lisp-style Turing-complete programming language (Chialisp) for financial use cases. Additional features include BLS keys, aggregate signatures, a pooling protocol for farmer control, and support for light clients. The ecosystem is supported by a global community of farmers and developers. Python 3.10+ is required for installation.
