About this project

Cherry Studio is an open-source desktop application that serves as a unified AI productivity client, available on Windows, macOS, and Linux. It aggregates access to a wide range of language model providers, including major cloud services (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini) and local inference servers (Ollama, LM Studio). The client ships with over 300 pre-configured AI assistants and allows users to create custom ones. A key capability is multi-model simultaneous conversations, where responses from different models can be viewed and compared in parallel. It also handles document and data processing, supporting text, images, Office files, and PDFs, with features like Mermaid chart visualization and code syntax highlighting. Additional tools include global search, topic management, AI-powered translation, and drag-and-drop sorting. The application extends its functionality through mini-program support and integration with the Model Context Protocol (MCP). Cherry Studio emphasizes user experience with light/dark themes, a transparent window option, full Markdown rendering, and easy content sharing. It requires no environment setup to run. An Enterprise Edition is also available for private deployment, offering centralized model management, team knowledge bases, and fine-grained access control.
