About this project

ChoreOps is a comprehensive household task and routine manager for Home Assistant, evolved from the KidsChores integration. It provides a flexible platform that can be used purely as a utility to manage chores and schedules, or with full gamification features like XP, badges, achievements, and streaks to motivate household members. Key capabilities include native data access through Home Assistant sensors and button entities, intelligent recurring schedules, rotation logic, first-come-first-served pools, per-assignee schedules, actionable notifications with approval workflows, and optional gamification systems. It supports multiple profiles, chores, rewards, badges, bonuses, penalties, challenges, achievements, calendar visibility, statistics, and weekly activity reports. ChoreOps is designed to be native to Home Assistant, with no external dependencies, and emphasizes privacy by keeping all data local. It offers service-level APIs for automation, multi-instance support, and live updates for chore entities. The project includes a companion repository for dashboard templates and provides extensive documentation via its wiki.
