About this project

The microSAMPLER Editor / Librarian is an independent tool for managing the Korg microSAMPLER. It provides a comprehensive interface for sample management, effect configuration, and pattern editing via a reverse-engineered hardware protocol. Key capabilities include: - Sample Management: 36-slot bank overview, WAV upload/download with auto-resampling, auto-slicing by transients or equal divisions, and in-browser processing (normalize, gain, fades). - Waveform Editing: Draggable start/end markers with zero-crossing snap and zoom/pan support. - Pattern Editor: A full piano-roll editor with draw/erase tools, multi-select, undo/redo, and MIDI import/export. - Effect Control: Full parameter sets for all 22 effect types and live tracking of hardware FX knobs. - Utility & Sync: Full bank backup/restore, live two-way synchronization between the device and the app, and a 'Library mode' for extracting samples and MIDI patterns from .msmpl_bank files without hardware connected. - Connectivity: Supports MIDI IN for playing the device via a computer keyboard or external MIDI controller. The software is available as signed apps for macOS, AppImages for Linux, and a Python-based version for multiple platforms.
