Axio Coder is an autonomous development environment that functions as a programming agent resident in the IDE. Unlike chat-only assistants, it offers a unified work window where the agent and the user collaborate on the same project, with actions, reasoning, and file changes visible in real time. The system uses the Windows accessibility layer to operate native programs, enabling precise interactions with software interfaces without relying solely on pixel coordinates. Key capabilities: - Code editing: Supports complex refactorings based on text anchors and AST analysis, ensuring integrity with SHA-256 hash checks. - Navigation and Preview: Includes an embedded Chromium browser that the agent operates to test applications, read consoles, and extract design elements. - Engineering and Formats: Supports reading and generating technical files such as IFC, DXF, STEP, STL, PDF, and Office packages, with dedicated viewers. - Process Automation: Executes commands, servers, and interactive terminals (ConPTY) in monitoring cards. - Memory and Context: Uses a vector database to store notes, glossaries, and session history, allowing the agent to understand each project's specific vocabulary. - Security: Implements a local vault for API keys and credentials, ensuring secrets are not exposed in conversation history. - Interface: Focused on productivity, with element inspection mode, side-by-side edit history (diff), and visual task management.
