About this project
This repository is an unofficial preservation and server-emulation project for Assault Fire PH, targeting only the v1.0.0.24 client build. It does not include the original game client or proprietary game files; users must already own a copy of the game.
What it provides:
- A local emulator server (assaultfire_server_v143b.py) implementing VERSION, AUTH, DIR, ROLE and ZONE services, with a preflight gate that validates the client setup before allowing launch.
- A one-click PowerShell launcher (START_ASSAULT_FIRE.ps1) that locates the game, checks the supported build, provisions a Python 3.10+ virtual environment, generates a local RSA key pair and matching APClient.dat, repairs Windows hosts entries, applies a verified datetime patch to the user's own TGame.exe (keeping a .bak backup), and starts the server and client.
- A local development account website for registering a username/password on first run, typically at http://127.0.0.1:8080/register.
- Manual setup and troubleshooting documentation covering Python/Git installation, venv creation, key generation, TCLS/APClient diagnostics, hosts redirection of tversion/tauthproxy/tdir.levelupgames.ph to 127.0.0.1, and a suspended-launch helper that arms TCLS before the user clicks START.
- Tools for diagnosing and patching TCLS.dll and APClient.dat, with known SHA-256 hashes for the supported original and patched builds.
- PvE/dedicated-server lifecycle handling and UE3 PvE research notes, plus a server-only mode for hosts without a local game client.
Operational notes: the project is Windows-oriented, requires the user's own game files, and warns against forcing patches onto other game versions. Private keys (PRIVATE.PEM) must never be shared or committed. Logging defaults to INFO on console with DEBUG+ written to server/af_server_live.log; sensitive AUTH hex debugging is opt-in via environment variables. The README is available in several languages including Tagalog, Cebuano and Simplified Chinese.
