alir-io

alir.io is a lightweight plugin designed to natively integrate ASIO hardware into OBS Studio, enabling clean, multi-channel audio capture and low-latency direct monitoring. It provides two core features: an ASIO Input Source for capturing direct audio from ASIO interfaces into OBS, and an ASIO Output Filter for dedicated direct monitoring by routing input sources back to the ASIO hardware with minimal latency. The plugin supports Mono, Stereo, and complex surround setups up to 7.1 channels. Installation is straightforward via a recommended .exe installer or manual .zip extraction into the OBS Studio directory. It requires OBS v31.1.1 or higher (Windows x64). Development uses CMake Presets with automatic dependency fetching (Qt6, OBS SDK, ASIO SDK), and building requires Visual Studio 2022, CMake 3.28+, and optionally Inno Setup 6 for installer generation.
