About this project
Apache SeaTunnel is a multimodal, high-performance, distributed data integration tool capable of synchronizing massive amounts of data daily. It addresses common data integration challenges such as diverse data sources, multimodal data (video, images, binary files, structured/unstructured text), complex synchronization scenarios (real-time, CDC, full database sync), resource efficiency, and data quality monitoring.
Key features include support for over 160 connectors, batch-stream integration, a distributed snapshot algorithm for data consistency, multi-engine support (SeaTunnel Zeta Engine, Flink, Spark), JDBC multiplexing and log parsing for efficient multi-table/database synchronization, high throughput with low latency, and real-time monitoring.
SeaTunnel provides a workflow where users configure jobs, select execution engines, and parallelize data using Source Connectors. It supports Source, Sink, and Transform connectors, and offers tools like the SeaTunnel Mcp Server. Users can get started by downloading from the official website and choosing a runtime engine. The project is used by companies like JP Morgan, S7, JDT, Bytedance, and Tencent Cloud. It is licensed under Apache 2.0 and enriches the CNCF Cloud Native Landscape.
